About the Honored Lenses

The Tamron 17-70mm F2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (model B070) is Tamron’s first high-speed zoom lens for mirrorless cameras with APS-C size sensors. It features a maximum aperture of F2.8 across the entire 4.1x zoom ratio covering a focal length of 17-70mm (a full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm) ideal for everyday use, and superb optical performance. It is a small, lightweight lens that is also equipped with Tamron’s VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism to minimize camera shake. The 17-70mm F2.8 features Tamron’s proprietary VC mechanism that leverages AI technology when shooting video. The optical construction maintains high-resolution performance from edge to edge. The 17-70mm F2.8 zoom focuses to 7.5” MOD, far superior to that of conventional high-speed zoom lenses for APS-C cameras. In addition, the 15.4” MOD at the 70mm telephoto end ensures good close-range shooting performance allowing photographers to enjoy compelling close-up shots. The lens features Moisture-Resistant Construction, Fluorine Coating and a Ø67mm filter size – the same as most Tamron lenses for mirrorless cameras. The 17-70mm F2.8 zoom measures a scant 4.7” in length and 74.6mm in maximum diameter and weighs only 18.5 oz.

The Tamron 150-500mm F5-6.7 Di III VC VXD (model A057) is Tamron’s first 500mm ultra-telephoto zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras and when used on APS-C mirrorless format cameras, the zoom range is an approximate 225-750mm full-frame equivalent. Even when extended to the 500mm telephoto end, the lens is still compact enough for comfortable handheld shooting. This zoom lets users enjoy casual shooting with steady performance and high image quality in the ultra-telephoto realm where conventional wisdom once dictated a tripod. To support handheld shooting in the ultra-telephoto range, the 150-500mm is equipped with VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), a linear motor focus mechanism that delivers excellent quietness and agile performance, and Tamron’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism with 3 Modes for high-level image stabilization. At the 150mm end, the lens offers an MOD of 23.6” for powerful and dramatic close-ups. The lens features Moisture-Resistant Construction, Fluorine Coating and a Ø82mm filter size.
