Photographers rejoice! Capture One, the leading software for a seamless photography workflow, is now available through Amplis Foto in Canada. This partnership brings the power of Capture One to the hands of Canadian photographers, offering a complete solution from start to finish.

Effortless Start to Your Photo Process

Capture One revolutionizes the photography process by allowing you to connect your camera and start shooting directly to your desktop, iPad or iPhone. Whether you’re in the studio or on the move, this software empowers you to shoot, adjust and auto-apply edits to your shots. The ability to get instant feedback from your team or clients facilitates faster decision-making, making collaboration a breeze.

Mind-Blowing Colours and Quality

Delivering true-to-life colours and exceptional image quality are the core of Capture One’s capabilities. The RAW converter, fine-tuned by in-house experts, supports nearly 600 camera profiles and over 700 lenses. Spend less time editing and achieve your desired look faster with unparalleled colour processing.

Fast and Efficient Tethered Shooting

Capture One Pro allows you to shoot tethered directly into your desktop, organize shots, make on-the-spot changes and ensure you’ve captured the perfect image. Live View and ReTether features provide full control over your camera settings, even allowing wireless shooting with select cameras. Not only do you have control over standard camera settings such as exposure and shutter button, but Capture One can access and change practically every menu setting and physical button on your camera. You no longer have to touch your camera to set it exactly as you need to capture the perfect image. Capture One also supports image capture to your memory cards as well as your computer for image security.

Collaboration Made Easy

Capture One Live facilitates collaboration with teams and clients, whether they’re in the same room or in different continents. Share, view, comment, rate, tag and receive feedback — all in one place. This eliminates the need for constant uploading, exporting, downloading and emailing – especially when your shoot contains hundreds of images.

Speed Up Your Workflow with Smart Tools

Capture One’s new Smart and AI tools do the heavy lifting, enabling you to work more efficiently. Auto-grouping, face and eye focus, dust spot removal and smart adjustments streamline your workflow, ensuring you spend less time on tedious tasks and more time on creative pursuits.

Hands-On Experience

I use Capture One exclusively for all my paid work and have for many years now. Lightroom is a fine alternative for personal work, but if I’m being compensated by a client, I only trust Capture One. There is no comparison between the colour science in Capture One and Lightroom – colours and tones are far more natural in Capture One. Capture One features tools to fine tune skintones and, thanks to a colour profile for my Camera using a X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo, accurate blues and reds – tricky colours for cameras to capture correctly.

Masking in Capture One was a true gamechanger for me. It removed a step I used to perform exclusively in Photoshop – cleaning up white backgrounds. I’ve created Custom Style Brushes to help with this as well as Skin Tone brushes and a couple other. These are quick to access and easy to fine-tune. The new AI Select tool works extremely well and is significantly faster than the AI tools in Lightroom.

The Journey of Capture One

Born out of a passion for photography in 1994, Capture One has evolved into a powerful software with over 25 years of technical expertise. The Danish and Greek-based team continuously pushes boundaries to provide photographers with the most efficient ecosystem of creative and collaborative tools.
