Autumn Leaves

For this image, I collected some leaves from a neighbour’s yard and took them to a property that has a barn with open deck area that I knew I could photograph from. I was keen to place myself high enough above the model to allow me to use a 24-70mm lens. We placed a tarp on the muddy ground and put a blanket on top to keep the model a bit warmer and then practiced with possible poses. Once we were happy with the pose, we staged the model on the blanket and surrounded her with leaves.

I shot the image with the Nikon Z 7 and 24-70mm F4 S lens, shooting at 63mm, f/5, 1/320 second, ISO 100.

I edited in Lightroom and Photoshop and darkened the image somewhat to add a greater feeling of mood to the shot.
