We’re thrilled to launch the first-ever “Celebrate Canada” Photo Contest – your chance to show off what makes Canada the True North, Strong, Free and Photographable! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a proud phone photographer with impeccable timing, we want to see Canada through your lens.
Three Epic Categories – Choose Your Own Canadian Adventure:
- True North Portraits
Think faces full of character or paws full of personality. Capture people or animals who embody the spirit of Canada — resilient, diverse, adventurous and downright heartwarming. - Canadian Spirit
Mountains, Inuksuks, maple syrup magic … show off the landscapes, symbols and moments that scream “Canada!” (Bonus points if it gives us goosebumps and not just from the weather.) - Canada on Film
Old school is the new cool. If you’re shooting on film — any format, any subject, colour or black & white — this is your moment to shine. Dust off that film camera and let’s get nostalgic!

You must be subscribed to the PHOTONews Canada email newsletter – unsubscribe any time, but we promise we send cool stuff. - Deadline?
Get those entries in by June 9, 2025. - How Many?
Submit up to five (5) amazing images. Choose wisely. - What NOT to Submit:
No boudoir, lingerie, nudes or controversial/political images. We’re all about keeping it classy and proudly Canadian. - Who Owns My Images?
You do! 📸 PHOTONews doesn’t take any ownership. You can even delete them anytime.
