Gitzo Introduces new Safari range for Birdwatchers and Outdoor Photographers

There are some characteristics that set the rare breed of real wildlife photographers and birdwatchers apart from common or garden varieties: alertness to the slightest of changes, adaptability to every challenge and determination to capture the best possible results. Safari has been developed to support them all.

Gitzo Safari Head

With Safari, Gitzo introduces a high-end range, specially designed for birdwatchers and nature photographers. Tripods and heads completely resistant to the elements, offering ultra-stable support and meticulously engineered precision, built for professionals who demand as much of their equipment as nature demands of them.

Safari Heads grant maximum control over the degree and rate of movement on each axis, eliminating even the smallest unwanted give and play – especially useful when fast equipment repositioning is required.

Safari Tripods have special waterproof leg locks, capable of withstanding extreme conditions: a new insert design is employed at both ends of leg locks to keep outside elements such as water, mud and sand from getting into and damaging the leg tubes and locking mechanisms.

The Safari range also includes the special Safari Traveler kit – an evolved support that combines every feature the keen birdwatcher could need: extreme light weight; compactness when closed; stability; vibration-free and precisely-controllable scope and camera movements… all built around a full-size, tall Traveler tripod which offers the most comfort during long spotting and photography sessions.

Solid, lightweight and compact, the Safari range is available in black, green and brown finishes to offer camouflage in different natural environments, or to blend in elegantly with other outdoor accessories, clothing and equipment.
